Union Street 2.0 continues the story of a previous Ambient project, seamlessly integrating new architectural layers with bold contemporary detailing. The design embraces contrast, in both concave and convex forms, while introducing curved standing-seam cladding, expansive sliding timber doors and windows, and finely crafted off-form concrete benchtops.
At its heart, the residence is designed for connection and experience. A swimming pool with a swim-up bar, an intimate cinema, and a fire pit extend living into leisure, creating a private retreat that feels both sophisticated and playful.
Externally, the home respects its urban setting by retaining the heritage façade along Union Street, while a contemporary extension opens to the rear lane. This balance between past and present defines the project: a celebration of texture, geometry, and craft that expands on the architectural narrative begun with the first Union Street home.
